How to choose a fragrance you’ll enjoy wearing
Find your scent family with everyday words and a few Laika fragrances to explore.
Choosing a fragrance gets easier when you start with what you already enjoy. Think about the scent you reach for before work, the bottle you save for dinner, or a fragrance you remember on someone else. Then ask yourself what drew you to it. Was it the crisp opening, a soft floral impression, or the warmer scent you noticed later? Those details can help you narrow your choices more quickly than a long list of perfume names.
Start with a scent family
Laika groups fragrances into four directions. Fresh and clean is a good place to explore if you tend to like crisp fruit, citrus or airy notes. If you like green apple or a cool, fresh character, look at Laika LF29, inspired by DKNY Be Delicious. If you usually describe your favourites as delicate, petal-like or powdery, browse the soft and floral collection.
For something rounder or sweeter, explore the warm and sweet collection. Laika LF82, inspired by Armani Sì, is a useful starting point if the idea of blackcurrant and rose appeals to you. When you prefer a darker direction with woods or spice, try the deep and woody collection. A family is a way to explore, and you may find that your favourites fall into more than one.
Put your preference into two or three words
You can say “fresh and slightly sweet”, “soft and powdery”, or “warm with a little spice”. Add the name of something you already wear if you know it, and mention what you enjoy about it. If you remember that you liked a fragrance in the shop but found it too sweet for everyday wear, that’s useful information too. It helps us suggest something closer to the balance you’re looking for.
Choose a first bottle for your routine
Think about when you want to wear it. A fragrance you’ll reach for on ordinary mornings may feel different from one you want for a particular occasion.
